English Munstead is starting to bloom & is ready for u-pick. We also have our Birding at Wildwood event on Saturday 8am-12pm. U-pickers are welcome to come & quietly pick during the birding event. We have plenty of room on 32 acres for our fellow bird watchers to observe our feathered friends.
Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead,' is an edible cultivar. A rugged yet beautiful compact evergreen shrub with mounding, aromatic, gray foliage and an abundance of fragrant, rich lavender-colored flower spikes. Commonly used for perfumes, sachets, and oils. Dried sprigs will deter insects when placed in a closet or room. Color varies from dark purple – blues- lights – pinks. Length varies from 4-8 inches which is nice for small arrangements & wreath making.
U-pick bundles are $6.00 each. Visitors are given a 6" twist tie to fill. It usually equals the equivalent of the "O" when you make an OK sign with your hand. Whatever you can fit in the twist tie & still tie it shut is a bundle. We usually also have picked bundles in the farm stand for $8.00 each. There is no entrance fee for the farm.
