Q&A

Do we need tickets?

​

No charge to visit farm (Except for Lavender Bloom Festival).  You are welcome to come by and sit next to the field if you are having a tough day.  If inspired, u-pick and pre-picked bundles of lavender, plants and farm stand items are available.

​

What should I wear?

 

Please wear safe shoes which will protect your toes. The field is uneven due to mounded rows & is covered with weed fabric. Please take care & watch your step to avoid trips & falls. Please do not climb on or attempt to operate equipment.

 

Is there handicap parking?

 

Handicap spots are located closest to the field next to the shop. All surfaces on the farm are either grass, gravel or weed fabric.

 

Can I bring my own food?

 

We encourage you to bring your own chairs and/or picnic blankets to enjoy your homemade picnic.  We often have pastries available from our baker, but we do not have an onsite cafe or restaurant. We are very much a working small farm.

 

Can I bring my dog/pet?

 

We love dogs but for safety, dogs/pets are not allowed on the farm due to hazards, possible baby plant damage & neighboring animals. We also hope to have chickens established next season (Only certified service animals are permitted)

Is there only lavender?

Geocaching, a hiking trail, yard games and seasonal Harvest Host camping sites are also available. We also have other u-pick flowers (Varies: Sunflowers, cosmos, daisies, zinnias) available pending the weather.  Other plants to view include elderberries, milkweed, baby paw paw trees, yarrow and a multitude of trees. 

 

I'm allergic to bees; should I come?

 

If you are allergic to bees, please refrain from picking the lavender. We will have bundles available for you. We have more bees than your typical farm.

 

Can I use my own shears to cut the lavender?

 

Please use our scissors to cut the lavender. State regulations require this to prevent disease/insect cross contamination.

 

Can I volunteer to Help?

 

We would really appreciate help planting & harvesting.  It is hard work and you will sweat.  It's a great healthy workout and we will give you free bundles as a thank you!  Please message us if interested.  

 

I am unable to pick my own bundle?

Dried and some fresh bundles will be available at the farm stand.

Are there public restrooms?

A port-a-pot facility is available during our summer sessions.

Address - 6454 Cherry Walk Rd  Hebron, MD 21830

(Please be careful your GPS takes you to Cherry Walk Rd.  Some direct to the opposite side of the creek)

From Rt 50 take Rt 349/Nanticoke Rd, continue 6 miles & bear right on Catchpenny Rd. Continue straight to get on Rt 347/Quantico Rd. Turn left on Cherry Walk Rd. Farm is .9 miles on left down gravel lane lined with trees; woods on the left side of lane. Parking at end of the lane next to farm stand.

Please be courteous and do not turn around either of our neighbors' private lanes.  They have been supportive, and we want to respect their privacy and property.
