Fresh Lavender Bundle
To keep your fresh lavender bundle vibrant, add a minimal amount of water (1/2-1") and place it in a cool area away from direct sunlight. The cooler the room, the longer the lavender will remain fresh. When the stems begin to wilt, pat them with a paper towel to dry, trim 1/2 - 1 inch off the bottom stems and wrap the bundle with a rubber band and hang it upside down in a dry location, like a drying rack or shelf, for about two weeks. Enjoy the delightful aroma as your lavender dries!
Dried Lavender Bundle

Keep your bundle dry and the buds will maintain their scent for 2+ years.
Try cupping your hands gently around the dried bundle to warm it for about 30-60 seconds. This will release the oils (breathe in the scent).
Pinch off a little bud & squeeze & roll it between your fingers and sniff. One tiny bud contains enough oil to both exhilarate & relax you. This is because lavender is in the mint family but also contains a relaxing component, linalool. The scent of lavender is due to the presence of the linalool compound, which is the main chemical responsible for its aroma. Linalool is also known to have calming and antiseptic properties, making it an ideal ingredient for promoting relaxation and reducing stress and anxiety.
Hang your bundle on a door, put in a vase or place in a special location. Enjoy the scent as you walk by. Humidity in a bathroom will also awaken the scent but be careful it fully dries. Remaining in humidity too long may promote mold growth.
The scent also repels: Mosquitoes, moths & many other bugs.
Mini Hanging Bundle
Mini hanging bundles will last longer if hung out of direct sunlight, but we all want to hang them in our cars! Refreshen as needed with a drop of essential oil.
Lavender Vase Arrangements

Your hand pottered vase was designed for Wildwood by Amused Studies in Fruitland, MD. The vases are shorter with wider mouths to help fit your lavender arrangement perfectly. Follow basic care for dried bundles and refreshen as needed with a few drops of essential oil on the bundle.
If you purchased a vase with a fresh bundle, follow the directions for fresh bundles above. We do recommend only using about a 1/2" to 1" of water in the vase daily to help maintain the stems longer. When the stems start to droop, cut an inch of stems off the bottom, pat dry with a paper towl or cloth, bind with a rubber band and hang upside down to dry in a dark location for approximately two weeks.
Lavender Sachet
Keep your sachet dry; do not put in the washing machine.
Use the sachet to scent your drawers. Traditionally, sachets are used to keep moths away that eat fabric and clothes.
Tuck it in other places such as the bureau, a chest or jewelry box. Hang it in a window or place where there is air flow to create an air freshener.
Throw a sachet in with the dryer. This will help to make clothes smell fresh and also scents the surrounding air. (We recommended our studier linen dryer sachets).
Other uses: Car, glove box, suitcase, laundry bag, locker, gift boxes, mail in packages, purse, stored in shoes or keep in memory boxes.

Fairy Wand
Fairy wands are woven when the lavender is fresh. The thicker top contains the lavender buds. Hold the top enclosed in your hand for a 1 minute to warm & release the scent from the buds for aroma therapy. Keep them by your computer, bed stand, car; any place where you like to relax. You can also use them like a sachet in your linen drawers.
Be sure to keep the fairy wand dry and out of direct sunlight to keep it from fading and to extend its life.
Traditionally, fairy wands were made & given to French brides as wedding tokens.

Eye Bag
Our lavender eye bags contain flax seed, our lavender buds & lavender essential oil. The scent encourages calm feelings, reduces stress & anxiety.
· Microwave the eye bag for 15-20 seconds (depending on
your microwave's wattage) to release the scent & warm the
eye bag
· Check the temperature is safe and then place over your
eyes or a sore muscle
· You can also place it in a freezer for 2+ hours to cool eye area or sore muscle
· Keep the eye bag dry. The buds will maintain scent for 2+ years
· Note: Do not put in washing machine. If needed, gently spot clean the inner sack with a dampened cloth. The exterior cover is machine washable.
Refreshen as needed with a few drops of oil on a seam or corner.
Smudge Stick
Wildwood's lavender smudge sticks should be kept dry until you are ready to use. Light & let the smudge stick smolder in a fireproof vessel such as a cast iron pan. You may need to hold the flame/lighter on a stem for a few seconds to ignite. Be sure to extinguish when you are done using. Do not leave unattended.
You can also soak the smudge in water overnight & put on a grill to add smoked, floral flavor.
*Do not use any lavender products if allergic to lavender.
* Note: 14% of the population is, “aldehyde” sensitive, a generic olfactory receptor that makes cilantro and lavender taste like soap.

Fresh Wreath Care
Hanging your wreath out of direct sunlight will help it maintain its freshness. Rotate the wreath every day (turning 1/2 turn on wall/door) to allow for even drying of the stems and to keep it from drying with the stems leaning to one side.
Need to keep it fresh a few days for a special occation? The wreath can be stored in a refrigerator to add a few days of freshness before it starts to dry.
See below for continued care after drying.

Dry Wreath Care
Keep your wreath dry and out of direct sunlight. The cooler the room, the longer it will last. Wreaths will maintain appearance for 9-12 months on an outside door (out of direct sunlight), but will last longer inside. Buds will drop occasionally. This is a natural process. We suggest you let them drop and then vacuum up. You may notice a nice lavender scent when your vacuum warms up.
Hanging your wreath on a door will allow the sent to awaken each time you open or close the door.
If your wreath gets dusty, take outside and use a hair dryer to blow the dust off. The heat will also awaken the scent in the buds.
Floral Water & Essential Oil
Keep your floral water hydrosol and/or essential oil refrigerated to maintain freshness longer. Floral waters may be sprayed directly on skin (try a small patch first to ensure you are not allergic).
Uses include: Skin toner/cooler, soothes sunburns, cuts and makes a great light, all-purpose cleaner. We try to be kind to our insect friends, but I recently found it also kills ants (they were in a people living area).
Oils should not be directly applied to skin. Oils are great for diffusing and other household uses. Oil used topically should be used in a base carrier product; no more than 5% of the mixture should be essential oil. Try our Roll-on Relaxer for safe, direct skin use.
*Do not use if allergic to lavender.
