Propagated on the farm here in Quantico Village, Hebron, this cultivar does well on the Shore. Baby plants are kept outdoors & are already off, ready for the outdoors.

Once dried, the buds have a medium purple color & strong camphor scent. The stems are nice & long; great for arrangements or crafting items such as fairy wands. Grosso is considered the highest oil producing lavender with a high camphor content. Not for culinary use due to soapy taste from the higher oil content.

Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia) combines the cold hardiness of the English lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) and the heat tolerance of Portuguese lavender (Lavandula latifolia).  Although often called "French Lavender" there really isn't anything French about these guys.

Plants should be spaced 3 feet apart.
