Under the Stars at Wildwood
Service Description
Come out for an evening of stargazing! * Note: The netted mosquito areas are full. You're welcome to attend in the open area, but the netted areas will not be available unless there are no shows. It will be a great time to see our celestial neighbors. We love sharing the dark countryside of the farm with our city friends who have trouble seeing the full sky. Come make some new friends & enjoy the evening. The night will be the height of the Perseids Meteor Shower! Come early to set up your telescope or bring binoculars for better viewing. One year we had a cozy group & counted over 70 meteors! Lavender will be sparse, but you are welcome to place blankets in the field & gaze above. Bill King will provide guidance & point out constellations. He does an easy to learn presentation using a laser pointer to help you see the stars. No tickets required. Please click on calendar event if interested so we have an estimate of those attending. Farm shop will be open. *This is a limited light event so please be mindful of others to not ruin the dark sky we are looking forward to seeing. We recommend using red-light flashlights.
