Night Sky Event - Under the Stars at Wildwood

August 09, 2025, 9 pm-Midnight (Saturday) & August 12, 2025, 9 pm - Midnight (Tuesday)

• Mosquito rooms are full. You're welcome to attend, but the netted areas are maxed out. It was very comfortable with few buggies on Sunday. Several guests were fine outside the screened area & we were able to let most guests in due to cancellations.

  
  

Come out for an evening of stargazing!

We love sharing the dark countryside of the farm with our city friends who have trouble seeing the full sky. Come make some new friends & enjoy the evening.

The night will be the height of the Perseids Meteor Shower! Come early to set up your telescope or bring binoculars for better viewing. Last year we had a cozy group and one year we counted over 43 meteors!

Lavender will be sparse, but you are welcome to place blankets in the field & gaze above.

Bill King will provide guidance & point out constellations during the Saturday session. He does an easy to learn presentation using a laser pointer to help you see the stars. The Tuesday session will be the height of the Perseids shower and we are hoping for a spectacular show.

Please bring lawn chairs. Wear long sleeves/pants due to possible mosquitoes. We recommend bringing a blanket to snuggle up in. Just in case, we have created mosquito free areas with our canopy frames and draped them with netting. They worked very well during our yoga event, and you have a clear view out of the top to see the stars.

No purchase required. This is a free event, but donations are appreciated. Please click below to RSVP on our calendar event to complete a required waiver. There are limited slots for the screened in areas, so be sure to reserve your itch free spot by registering early (first come, first served). Farm shop will be open. Sample some lavender tea & pastries will be available for purchase.
