đ± Wildwoodâs First Propagating Class â
Wildwood Lavender Farm is excited to offer our first-ever propagating class, beginning this May!
Propagation is the art of taking a small cutting from a healthy âmotherâ plant and growing it into a brand-new plant. Instead of starting from seed and waiting weeks for growth, propagation gives you a head start and faster results.
đż Why Propagation Matters for Lavender
Lavender grown from seed often becomes a hybrid, meaning it wonât be identical to the parent plant.
If you want to grow the same beautiful cultivars you see in our fields, propagation is the way to do it. It allows you to recreate the exact plant you love.
âïž Learn From Experience
Propagation isnât always easy. Some plants root quickly, while others can be more challenging.
At Wildwood, weâve propagated thousands of plants over the past 10 years, and weâll teach you how to:
Select the right cuttings
Provide the right amount of water
Know when to remove humidity covers
Recognize when roots are ready for transplanting
Youâll gain hands-on experience and confidence to grow your own plants successfully.
đŒ What Youâll Take Home
Each participant will create 48 new plants to grow at home!
Choose your cuttings directly from our field
Mix and match different lavender varieties
All plants will be labeled so you can keep track
Your cuttings will need about 6 weeks to establish strong roots. After that, you can transplant them into your garden, repot them, or share them with friends.
