As the lavender fields begin to bloom, immerse yourself in the rhythms of nature. We’ll harmonize the senses and offer inner tranquility with a 60-minute sound bath featuring quartz crystal singing bowls, drum, rain stick, buffalo drum, chimes, the sounds of nature and the scent of lavender blooming in the field.
Shayne – Sound Journey Facilitator | The Unplugged Forest
Shayne discovered the healing power of nature over two decades ago when the forest became her grounding place; a lesson taught to her by her outdoorsmen husband. What began as personal restoration grew into a lifelong devotion to wildlife, land, stillness, and connection.
In 2018, she began converting sections of her family’s 41-acre property from wildflower meadows to native ones. Providing food and shelter to wildlife and much needed peace to herself as she enjoyed their visits.
By 2024, she opened a portion of the land to share with the public and called it
The Unplugged Forest—a space where people are invited to unplug, slow down, and reconnect with nature.
Shayne studied in Costa Rica and facilitates her Sound Journeys, using vibration, nature, and quiet to support rest and nervous system regulation. Farm stays, DIY workshops, Forest Tea parties and history walks to the 1764 Mason Dixon marker are also enjoyed on her farm.
Shayne is honored to facilitate sound at our blooming lavender farm this May.
In celebration of the Strawberry Moon, guests will enjoy her signature Strawberry Pretzel Salad Cupcakes, a gentle journaling prompt, and a fresh u-cut bundle of lavender or a sachet from the farm.
Space is limited to 24 guests.

Sound Baths - The Benefits
🌿 Deep relaxation and stress relief
The steady tones from singing bowls, gongs, or chimes nudge the body out of “go-go-go” mode. Heart rate slows, breathing deepens, and muscles unclench. Many people describe it as reaching a calm state they usually only hit after a long nap or a massage.
🧠 Mental clarity and emotional reset
Sound baths can quiet mental chatter. Instead of chasing thoughts, your mind tends to drift, float, or gently unfurl. Participants often report feeling emotionally lighter, centered, or more grounded afterward.
😴 Better sleep support
By encouraging slower brainwave states, sound baths may help ease insomnia or restless sleep. Some folks feel sleepy during the session itself; others notice they fall asleep more easily later that night.
💓 Nervous system regulation
The vibrations and rhythms can help shift the body from a stress response into a parasympathetic (rest-and-restore) state. This is especially appealing for people juggling chronic stress, burnout, or sensory overload.
🌸 Mind–body awareness
Because sound is felt as much as heard, many participants notice subtle physical sensations: warmth, tingling, heaviness, or a sense of floating. It can deepen awareness of the body without effort or movement.
🕊️ Gentle emotional release
Some sessions bring unexpected emotional softening. Tears, insights, or a sense of release can surface, not dramatically, but like a knot slowly loosening.
🌼 Accessible meditation
If sitting still with your thoughts feels impossible, sound baths offer a more effortless doorway into meditative states. You don’t have to “do” anything; the sound carries you.
